Serial number 00056 is simply stunning. It contains a total of 125 individual inlays. It is loaded with ivory including an ivory joint, ivory butt cap and ivory ferrules. The other major inlay material is paua. Paua is a type of abalone found only in the Pacific Ocean around New Zealand. Paua is the most colorful shell in the world. This cue has 8 floating 'twisted teardrop' points in a 4 high and 4 low configuration inlayed into the cocobolo forearm. The major points have 3 'twists' each and the minor points have only 2. The points are made of paua and malachite. There are 12 ivory diamonds that connect each of the sections of the points. The 'swirl' butt sleeve is intertwined green stained curly maple and cocobolo. The butt sleeve, which is offset on both sides by ringwork, has been inlayed with 17 ivory, malachite and paua teardrops. The wrap is black with green speck Irish linen. The ivory butt cap has been crowned with black phenolic to protect it. Black phenolic rings also set off the ivory joint on both sides. The joint pin is a titanium Radial pin by UniLoc. All 6 sets of cocobolo rings are inlayed with 4 ivory and 4 alternating paua dots. The ring work pattern is black, brass, inlayed cocobolo, brass and black. The cue comes with 2 RAVEN tapered shafts. Besides the inlayed rings the shafts have an upper area that is stained green and offset by a cocobolo band. The shafts themselves are inlayed with 2 ivory and 2 paua teardrops. This cue was initialed with MW at the clients request.
