RAVEN Jump Tips

The best jump tips you've ever had or your money back!

Raven Cutom Cues

I never was much for jump shots. I never owned a jump cue. I would occasionally shoot half ball and quarter ball jumps but never even tried to jump an entire ball. Then I started making cues. My first jump cue effort was a dismal failure. It was way too heavy. Lighter was better. It took a little while before I got the shaft dimensions right too. Finally I built a good jump cue.

I still couldn’t jump a full ball consistently even with a good jump cue. To be really good at jumping a ball usually requires a lot of practice. I barely had time to play anymore much less practice. I needed to be able to jump a ball, on command, without spending hours and hours practicing. Heck, if I could make it so I could jump a ball consistently no telling what the people who were willing to work at it could accomplish.

A friend gave me some of the expensive jump tips. I tried them and they did help a little, but not enough. I knew there had to be a better way. So, I started experimenting with tips. The tip had to work extremely well, even without much practice and be legal for BCA play. I tried various plastics and polymers. I tried compressing hard leather and rawhide to make them even harder. I won't even tell you what all I tried but the list goes on and on. They all either didn't jump well enough or they were not legal tips.

The White RAVEN tip!

Finally came that flash of inspiration. I made a tip and we went out to try it. It worked. It worked very very well. I could jump one ball with ease. I could jump 3 or 4 balls… no problem. I could even jump a ball only about a balls width from the cueball. The best thing is I can still jump that well with almost no practice.

The Black RAVEN tip!

We kept trying different materials. Finally we found another one that worked well. The result was very good, but different. The white tip jumps high easily. It also has reasonable cue ball control. The black tip jumps high but not quite as high as the white tip. What sets the black tip apart is it gives a greater degree of cueball control. We sent samples of both tips to the BCA and the tips are legal to use.

The Green RAVEN tip!

There really didn't seem to be any reason to keep looking for different tip materials. The white and black tips worked so well, but I can't help trying to make things better. The green tip has been tested by players all over the world. The green tip may well be the hardest legal tip that won't scratch a cueball. It has similar jumping characteristics to the white tip but it can be scuffed to hold chalk better. It isn't a better tip... just different.

You have nothing to lose!!

That's right. Try either tip for 30 days. If this tip isn't the best legal jump tip you've ever used we'll send your money back. Just return what is left of the tip with a self addressed stamped envelope. We will verify it was purchased from us and refund your purchase price.

But... it gets even better!

These tips also make a great break tip. More energy is transferred directly to the cue ball. And they have that sound... like in "The Color of Money". It sounds like the rack has just exploded... and the rack usually has.

White, Black or Green RAVEN Jump tip:

If you have a problem getting the cue ball to jump with a leather tip this is the tip for you. You'll be jumping balls with ease in no time.
